Happy Father's Day!

St. Joseph Statue - Photo by Loci B. Lenar

Memorare To Saint Joseph

Remember, O most pure spouse of Mary, and my dearly beloved guardian, St. Joseph, that never was it known that anyone who invoked your care and requested your help was left without consolation.

Inspired with this confidence, I come to you, and with all the ardor of my spirit I commend myself to you. Do not reject my prayer, O Foster Father of the Savior, but graciously receive and answer it. Amen!

All are welcome to attend St. Mary's Catholic Church for prayer services.

The church holds a monthly service for general prayer including special prayer intentions which are submitted through the website of Christian-Miracles.com.

Previous services have included prayer for Christian Unity.

The next service is scheduled for Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 7:30 P.M. (EST). The prayer service is held every third Thursday of each month with a new theme. June will focus on John the Babtist. In addition, prayers for world peace is always included.

There is great power when people join together in agreement while praying for God’s help and intervention. However, if you cannot attend, you can still join in by praying in unity with St. Mary’s Church between the hours of 7:30-8:00 PM on June 16th.

God wants us to approach him with the desires of our heart. Our Lord calls us to connect with his divine grace in order to receive blessings in our lives. Trust and believe in God's word and wait for his timing to receive an answer to your prayers.

Miracles happen when least expected!

Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. (Isaiah 65:24)

Regarding prayer, Jesus said, "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst."  (Matthew 18:19-20)

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

If you live in the area or plan on visiting New Jersey, please consider attending and joining in the evening prayer service with Fr. Richard Tartaglia.

The service begins with singing of hymns followed with psalm prayers and then reading of the gospels. After the reading, Fr. Tartaglia gives his homily which is followed with a prayer of intercession for Special Prayer Intentions (prayer requests). The Lord's Prayer is recited and after that there is a closing prayer with a blessing given by Fr. Tartaglia. The prayer service is concluded with closing songs.

St. Mary's Catholic Church is located on 15 Myers Avenue in Denville, New Jersey. Father Martin Glynn is the head pastor of the church.

Cross Appears During Lent as a Sign of God's Love

Cross Appears During Lent
Examining the cross, Brooke said, "It looks like Jesus"
All photographs by Loci B. Lenar

By Loci B. Lenar

As a Christian and practicing Catholic, God has called me to share my spiritual journey with others by being a witness to my faith through signs and wonders which are arising from Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In John 3:21, it says: "...whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Since 2005 a cross with an outline of a shield has appeared annually on my property in Mine Hill, New Jersey. Once again on March 27, 2011, rays of light from the sun are shining on the fence and creating an image of a cross. This image has been showing up every morning since last week. The image appears at the top of the fence and slowly descends until it touches the ground. It then changes into a circle and disappears. The cross can be seen for about 30 minutes.

Interesting Note: The sun is on the outside of the fence, while the cross appears on the inside. However, the sun is high above in the sky and God is shining his light upon humanity including our home and property. With that in mind, it's not impossible for God to send rays of light in all directions of the world, including inside our yard and on the fence.   Furthermore, there are no objects in our house windows which might cause a reflection.

I believe that God has opened the windows of heaven and is pouring out the Holy Spirit on our world.  Joel 2:28 says, "...I will pour out my Spirit on all people..."

In Psalm 84:11, it says, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”

Interestingly, this is the Lenten season, a time of spiritual renewal and conversion for Catholics and many Christians as we prepare for Easter.

Jesus said in John 12:46, "I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness."

My wife, Teresa, had invited her cousin Diane Kayal to come visit with her husband and children on Saturday, March 26th. Diane's daughter, Brooke, stayed overnight with my family. Then on Sunday morning, the cross appeared on our backyard fence at around 9:00 AM. Brooke went outside to examine the image. I photographed her standing next to the cross and Brooke said in awe, "It looks like Jesus."

Prior to Sunday, I went on March 24th to visit my spiritual advisor, Fr. Richard Tartaglia to speak with him about spiritual matters including the cross that began to appear once more on our property. I also gave Fr. Tartaglia an open invitation to visit my home to see the cross appear for himself.

On Monday, March 28th, I dropped off some photographs in the rectory office at St. Mary's Parish, which is located in Denville, NJ, for Fr. Tartaglia to examine and to keep for church archives.  Fr. Tartaglia is my spiritual advisor for over fifteen years.

I believe this cross is a sign for the world. God is forgiving and sending a message of love for people to return to the sacraments of the church and to reconcile through confession.

Our Lord is calling everyone to make a sincere effort to attend weekly church services or Holy Mass.  In doing so, it helps to receive Our Lord's blessings and divine favor.

He is calling each person to pray for world peace and divine protection so that violence can be mitigated.

Jesus is calling everybody to open their heart to receive the Holy Spirit in order to have peace in their lives and families and throughout the world.

I believe the Lord's plan is to move forward with an era of peace as foretold by Our Lady of Fatima in her 1917 apparitions in Fatima, Portugal, and to fulfill Revelation 20:1-3 with a thousand-year reign of God's peace.  To read Our Lady's message, please visit the following link: The Fatima Message

I believe that if enough people pray, the course of history will change through God's divine intervention.

"For nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37

May Our Lady intercede on behalf of humanity for God's mercy to enfold our world with peace and love.

May Our Heavenly Father bless you and answer all your prayers through his Divine Son, Jesus Christ.

A Reflection of God's Light in Madison, NJ

St. Vincent Martyr Catholic Church

By Loci B. Lenar

While traveling through the town of Madison on October 9, 2010, I decided to visit St. Vincent Martyr Catholic Church.  My normal routine when I stop at any church is to go inside and say some prayers.  I also usually have my camera on hand and take some photographs as well.  If you're ever in Morris County, by all means do visit this beautiful church.  You will not be disappointed.  St. Vincent is located on 26 Green Village Road in Madison, New Jersey.

Some images from the church already appear in my previous blogger posts.  However, while looking over various photographs, one caught my attention which I find very interesting.

Mary and Infant Jesus Statue

I photographed the statue of Mary holding the infant Jesus which sits behind the alter and is surrounded by a flora arrangement and church lighting.  If you look at the picture very closely there is three distinct shadows appearing on the wall.  Two shadows on the right are of Mary and infant Jesus.

However, is the reflection of light creating a third image?  The shadow on the left appears different. Is the silhouette on the wall a likeness of the statue or perhaps an image of St. Joseph or Jesus?

What's your opinion?  Is the image being caused by church lighting or perhaps a reflection of God's light?

Our Lord indeed works in mysterious ways to grab the attention of people through signs!

Jesus the Light of the World

Jesus the Light of the World

By Loci B. Lenar

While traveling through the town of Madison on October 9, 2010, I had an opportunity to stop at and photograph a bronze statue of Jesus which is located in front of St. Vincent Martyr Parish. Interestingly, on top of the statue, the sunlight is creating a noteworthy reflection on the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

In John 8:12, Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Jesus also said in Matthew 5:14-16, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

Tune into Radio Maria on January 24th for a Lively Discussion about God’s Spiritual Blessings!

Logo Courtesy of Radio Maria
Radio Maria has invited several parishioners from St. Mary’s Church of Denville, New Jersey to speak live on the Catholic program, Sacred Treasures.  Kathie Duggan, host of Sacred Treasures will have Loci Lenar, Donna Ott, and Father Richard Tartaglia as guests on her radio show. The program will include testimony about God’s healing grace and focus on the Catholic and Christian faith. Sacred Treasures is scheduled for Monday, January 24th, between 3:00 - 4:00 PM (EST) and can be heard live through internet streaming by visiting the following link: http://radiomaria.us/schedule/eastern-time/

Loci Lenar was recently a guest on Sacred Treasures (Radio Maria). During the radio interview (Sept. 27, 2010), Mr. Lenar shared testimony with listeners and host Kathie Duggan about the spiritual presence of Archangel Michael and a bright cross which has appeared on his property in Mine Hill, NJ. He also addressed healings of several medical conditions which resulted after receiving the anointing of the sick from his parish priest, Father Richard Tartaglia.

By sharing his faith on the radio, Mr. Lenar believes that his contribution helps in evangelizing God's church by opening the hearts and minds of listeners to read the gospels in order to receive the Lord's blessings.

Donna Ott is an administrative assistant at St. Mary’s parish and has a remarkable story to tell. She has endured painful arthritis in her fingers for nearly five years. While listening to Mr. Lenar’s testimony about God’s spiritual blessings on Radio Maria (Sept. 2010), “the pain unexpectedly disappeared,” said Donna. She immediately shared the news with Fr. Tartaglia. Father agreed that it was a small miracle. Donna believes that sharing her healing with others will help people to reach out for God‘s love as well.  More of Donna's story can be read at the following link:

Father Richard Tartaglia is Loci Lenar’s spiritual advisor for over fifteen years. Fr. Tartaglia is gifted as a spiritual advisor in discerning spiritual matters. As a result, Mr. Lenar shares with Fr. Tartaglia the spiritual presence of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through signs and wonders which began over twenty years ago. Documentation is posted on Lenar’s website at the following link: http://www.christian-miracles.com/

The site also receives a steady flow of prayer requests which are presented to Fr. Tartaglia for his prayer support. All requests are prayed for at St. Mary’s Church on Monday mornings at Holy Hour during Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Additionally, St. Mary’s holds an evening prayer service every third Thursday of each month with Fr. Tartaglia. Prayer requests include St. Mary's Parish as well as those which are emailed and posted on the website at the following link: http://www.christian-miracles.com/apps/prayers/

St. Mary’s Catholic Church is located on 15 Myers Avenue, Denville, NJ. Father Martin Glynn is the head pastor of the church.

Please tune into Sacred Treasures on http://radiomaria.us/ and join all three guests with host Kathie Duggan for an hour of discussion about God’s spiritual blessings!

Faith Leads to Miracles at St. Mary's Parish - Christian-Miracles.com

God is remarkable, especially when He surprises us with miracles. “It was unexpected,” says Donna Ott, sharing her testimony about being healed of a painful arthritic condition.

Donna related her amazing story during my visit to see Father Richard Tartaglia on November 17th.

I came to see Fr. Richard to drop off a large number of prayer requests from Christian-Miracles.com. With Fr. Richard’s help and support, he has arranged for requests to be prayed for on Monday morning during Holy Hour adoration, including every third Thursday of each month at the evening prayer service held at St. Mary’s Parish.

While in the office, Donna showed me her hand – one can visually see that several fingers are affected by arthritis. Two fingers on her right hand have given her a great deal of difficulty, especially when she tries to write. “I’ve had daily arthritic pain in my fingers for nearly five years,” says Donna, a parishioner and administrative assistant at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

The church is on the corner of Myers Avenue and Route 46, Denville, New Jersey. Father Martin Glynn is the head pastor at St. Mary’s.

However, Donna relates that on September 27, 2010, “the pain unexpectedly disappeared.” She was in the church office at her desk, listening to Radio Maria while doing paperwork; answering the telephones; and greeting visitors. The computer was connected to the website of Radio Maria and through internet streaming, she tuned into the Catholic radio program, Sacred Treasures. The show is broadcasted live every Monday at 3:00 PM (EST).

What makes Donna’s story even more interesting is that she was listening to my testimony on the radio regarding God’s spiritual blessings!

Radio host Kathie Duggan and I were discussing God’s signs that are related to our Catholic and Christian faith, including Archangel Michael and a cross which has appeared annually on my property in Mine Hill, NJ, since 2005. We also discussed Christian-Miracles.com, a website I launched in 2008. Documentation regarding my testimony is posted on the site.

While on the radio, I shared news of my healing from several medical conditions which resulted from receiving the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Both a heart ailment and years of suffering painful headaches were healed after being anointed with the sacrament by my spiritual director, Fr. Richard Tartaglia.

Donna continued and explained to me that at the end of the radio broadcast, she felt inspired to visit Christian-Miracles.com. While on the website, she was examining photographs of a cross which appeared on my property including other pictures of interest. She says that a sensation of peace came over her while looking at the web pages. “The whole website touched me in its beauty,” says Donna.

While surfing the site Donna recalled and said, “I was holding my fingers and thinking about wanting them to feel better.” She didn’t notice until maybe ten or fifteen minutes later that all the pain in her arthritic fingers disappeared. She described having a feeling of inner peace that came over her.

Truly touched by God’s healing grace, she shared her story immediately with Fr. Richard. Donna said that Fr. Richard responded by saying “That’s faith!"

Without question, faith leads us to God’s gift of answered prayer. Fr. Richard agreed with me that Donna was blessed with a small miracle.

After leaving work at St. Mary's, Donna went home and shared the events with her husband Bob, and son Brian, including her other children. She said they were in awe of her story.

Donna has received a spiritual gift of God's divine love which she can treasure and share with others.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has blessed St. Mary’s Church and Parish as a place Where Miracles Happen!

Corpus Christi Church: A Display of Colorful Light

While driving through Chatham Township, NJ, I experienced what could be described as a spiritual invitation by Our Lord Jesus to visit Corpus Christi Catholic Church. As I entered the church, my eyes were beholding a rear and beautiful display of light shining through the stained glass windows. The exhibition of colorful light can be seen throughout the church. Sunlight is creating beautiful colors as it shines through the stained glass and reflects on the church floor, the plants, and pews.

In the center of the church there is a large cross depicting the Crucifixion of Jesus.

A Peek Inside St. Virgil's: Photographer Captures the Beauty of Stained Glass

Thousand-year-old art form continues to provide spiritual inspiration

By Kathy Shaskan

When Loci Lenar is on the move, he usually packs his camera. That's how he captures so many inspiring photos of religious art, a longtime hobby that he says expresses his strong spiritual beliefs. A series of photographs Lenar shot of the stained glass windows in St. Virgil Roman Catholic Church in Morris Plains (NJ), displays both his creative eye and the unique play of light and color that has made stained glass a popular art form for over a thousand years.

"I'm in a family business," the Mine Hill resident said.  "In my travels, I'll often stop at a church and say a prayer." If he is inspired by the religious art he encounters, "I'll photograph it."

Shooting stained glass windows is a challenge. "It's difficult. You have to take the lighting into account. You can't use a flash because you would lose a lot of the color."  Lenar said. The wonder of shooting these colorful panes, though, is that they glow as if lit from within. "The exterior light enhances the colors."

Asked to explain his attraction to stained glass windows, Lenar replied, "They make reference to the gospels and they're helpful during prayer. You can reflect on an image and it gives you inspiration."
