Join us in prayer for Christian Unity and World Peace

Please join us in prayer at Saint Mary's Church on Thursday, January 15 at 7:30 pm. This months prayer service will focus on Christian Unity and World Peace. Saint Mary's is located on the corner of Myers Avenue and Route 46, Denville, NJ, USA.

Are you or someone in need of prayer?  If so, let our prayer ministry pray for your needs.

Prayer requests submitted through email are prayed for daily on www.Christian-miracles.com and at Saint Mary's Church during Holy Hour Adoration on Monday mornings, as well as the monthly prayer service held with Fr. Richard Tartaglia.

If you cannot attend, you can still join in prayer by praying with us for all special prayer intentions.

Many people are struggling with their finances, some are unemployed. We all have family and friends that might need prayer as well. Some may be suffering from an illness or dealing with a troubled marriage or relationship.  We are all in need of hope, especially when dealing with burdens that affect our daily lives. The world is in need of peace, especially in light of all the violence that is seen daily on the news. With ongoing persecution of Christians in the middle east and other countries as well, please us join in prayer for all of these issues to be resolved with God's mercy.

Regardless of the circumstances that you might be facing today, God cares and loves you.  Let us pray for your needs today and ask for God's divine assistance and intervention. Submit your prayer requests to PrayerRequest@Christian-Miracles.com

Visit our site and read helpful information on How to Pray.

Regarding prayer, Jesus said, "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst." (Matthew 18:19-20)

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.  (Hebrews 4:16)

May Our Lord bless you and answer your prayer request with favor.

For a selection of devotional prayers, please visit our website on the following link: www.christian-miracles.com/devotionalprayers.htm

What does scripture say about sharing your faith and testimony with others? Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonderful acts. (1Chronicles 16:8-9)

Miraculous "Hawaiian” Myrrh-streaming Iveron Icon to visit California in December

Holy Iveron Icon

Holy Theotokos of Iveron Russian Orthodox Church - Hawaii's Myrrh-Streaming Icon

The photograph and following excerpt is from the Russian Orthodox Church:

November 2012 Update

In June of 2008, the “Hawaiian” Myrrh-streaming Iveron Icon was officially recognized by the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia as miraculous and worthy of veneration, and was given the blessing to travel to the various churches and monasteries of Holy Orthodoxy. The original “owner” of the Icon, Reader Nectarios, was charged by the Russian Orthodox Church to be Her guardian, and provide for the safety and care of this Wonderworking Icon of Christ’s Holy Church.

By the Grace of God, the Holy Cross has slowly ceased to continuously stream Myrrh as it once did, now doing so on certain occasions throughout the year, Pascha being the most recent. What is comforting to the faithful is the Holy Cross still continuously provides a beautiful and pungent fragrance, whether it streams or not. While the "Hawaiian" Iveron Icon of the Mother of God travels and brings the grace of God to various places, the Holy Cross always remains in Hawaii to provide for the protection and veneration of the faithful.

Since June of 2008, She has been to over 500 churches in North America of all (canonical) jurisdictions, and has been venerated by an estimated quarter of a million people throughout the United States. In many cities, the holy Icon is taken from one parish to another, being venerated by all the Orthodox clergy, and helping to establish and heal relationships amongst the Orthodox faithful, and also strengthening and fostering ties between the sister parishes. Requests have now been made for the Wonderworking Icon to be brought to Russia, Georgia, the Ukraine, Greece, Cyprus, South America, Europe, the Holy Land, Romania, Mount Athos, and Serbia.

Numerous miracles have been attributed to the Theotokos through this “humble little Icon”, accounts are only just being collected, and are indeed numerous. Physical and spiritual healings have included the healing of blindness and eye disease, cancer, demonic possession, paralysis, kidney disease, chronic pain, and debilitating viruses.

Yet, wherever the holy Icon goes, the Grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Mother abound. People have commented that just being in the presence of this Icon, you feel such an abundance of love and joy. It is truly indescribable. We are so very blessed that God has shown His love toward us by allowing us a small forebearance of what the saints call, "the true odour of sanctity." The true meaning of the Icon's appearance is known only to God, time will reveal all things. Yet, what we do know is this, God loves us. And that is all that matters.

Loci B. Lenar to Share Personal Testimony Regarding Signs of Archangel Michael at Prayer Service in New Jersey

Mr. Lenar
Mr. Lenar will speak at St. Mary’s Catholic Church during its evening prayer service scheduled for 7:30 PM on Thursday, September 20, 2012.

The service will focus on Michaelmas, the Feast of St. Michael and the Archangels.

The Catholic Church celebrates this feast day on September 29 each year.

St. Mary’s prayer service is held every third Thursday of each month with Fr. Richard Tartaglia. The Catholic Church is located on 15 Myers Avenue, Denville, NJ.  Fr. Martin Glynn is the head pastor of St. Mary’s.

Mr. Lenar will share his personal testimony regarding a photograph he took of a statue of Archangel Michael which shows a trail of colorful rainbows appearing behind the figure. The icon sits in front of a display that is designed to appear as a glass window in St. Michael’s Church, Netcong, New Jersey.

While visiting the church, Mr. Lenar captured the rainbow phenomena by photographing the statue without using the camera’s flash. “Church lights were turned off, so the only inflowing light was from some nearby windows.   While examining the photograph closely, there is a distinct shadow by the arms of the statue which indicates light from the rainbow is creating an interesting phenomena.  However, photographing the statue with the camera flash on, the rainbow is diffused because of added light," says Mr. Lenar.

St. Michael's Church - Photograph by Loci B. Lenar

Mr. Lenar adds, “God works in mysterious ways to affirm His presence through angels. Our Lord is indeed a divine artist and confirms His existence through remarkable signs.”

After the photographing the statue, I shared the images directly as captured on the camera's memory card with my spiritual advisor, Father Richard Tartaglia. The original digital images were transferred onto a CD for church archives,” says Mr. Lenar.

Mr. Lenar adds, “There is significance to the photograph and its meaning in the global community. Unfortunately, violence seemingly has become a frequent occurrence around the world.  One cannot avoid noticing while watching television programs, that there are recurring stories of acts of violence reported on network news shows. Therefore the question must be asked: Is our world losing control?”

Mr. Lenar says the following scripture appears to answer the question: “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered."  (Daniel 12:1)

“St. Michael the Archangel is the protector of God’s people and church,” says Mr. Lenar.  He believes and says that through prayerful discernment, "Our Lord Jesus is calling for all to join together and 'pray for divine protection' in order to mitigate violence throughout the world. It’s now more important than ever before, to pray for our nation and families, especially for people who are subjected to malevolent behavior on a daily bases. Our world is in dire need of healing and peace - with prayer everything is possible.”

Mr. Lenar also says that the Catholic Church teaches and recognizes that we all have guardian angels to protect and guide us during our lifetime.  He suggests reciting the intercessory Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel for God’s protection.

Additional information about Mr. Lenar’s testimony including photographs of the Statue of Archangel Michael can be seen on the following link: http://www.christian-miracles.com/signsofstmichael.htm

Mr. Lenar has shared his spiritual journey of faith several times as a guest on the Catholic program, Sacred Treasures, hosted by Kathie Duggan on Radio Maria.  On May 7th of this year, Fr. A Monthy Reminder

St. Mary's Catholic Church holds a monthly service for prayer including special prayer intentions which are submitted through the website of Christian-Miracles.com

Previous services have included prayer for Christian Unity.

The next prayer service is scheduled for Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 7:30 P.M. (EST) with Fr. Richard Tartaglia. The prayer service is held every third Thursday of each month with a new theme. July will focus on St. Anne and St. Joachim. However, prayers for world peace are always included.

St. Mary's Church is located on 15 Myers Avenue, Denville, New Jersey. Father Martin Glynn is the head pastor of the church.

There is great power when people join together in agreement while praying for God’s help and intervention. However, if you cannot attend, you can still join in by praying with St. Mary’s Church between the hours of 7:30-8:00 PM on July 21.

Our Lord calls us to connect with his divine grace in order to receive blessings in our lives. Trust and believe in God's word and wait for his timing to receive an answer to your prayers.

With the support of Father Richard Tartaglia, prayer requests that are submitted through Christian-Miracles.com are also prayed for every Monday morning after the 8:00 A.M. Mass, during Holy Hour Adoration, which is between the hours of 8:30 to 9:30 AM. If you're unable to attend, please consider joining in prayer with others on Monday mornings during Holy Adoration. God will still hear your prayer!

If you live in the area or plan on visiting New Jersey, please consider attending and joining in the evening prayer service with Fr. Richard Tartaglia. The service begins with singing of hymns followed with psalm prayers and then reading of the gospels. After the reading, Fr. Tartaglia gives his homily which is followed with a prayer of intercession for Special Prayer Intentions (prayer requests). The Lord's Prayer is recited and after that there is a closing prayer with a blessing given by Fr. Tartaglia. The prayer service is concluded with a closing song.

Sister Marie Simon-Pierre to Speak at Beatification of Pope John Paul II

The Canadian Press: 'Miracle nun,' John Paul II aides to be protagonists in beatification ceremony

The following excerpt is by Nicole Winfield of The Associated Press:

VATICAN CITY — A French nun whose inexplicable cure from Parkinson's disease was the miracle needed to beatify Pope John Paul II will have a starring role in the Vatican's three-day, around-the-clock beatification extravaganza, officials said Tuesday.

Sister Marie Simon-Pierre, as well as John Paul's closest aide, Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, and longtime spokesman Joaquin Navarro-Valls, will all speak about their experiences with the beloved pope at a prayer vigil at Rome's Circus Maximus on the eve of the May 1 beatification.

The Vatican on Tuesday released details about the ceremonies, which are expected to draw some 300,000 people to the Eternal City on charter trains, planes and boats. Tent cities are being planned at two locations outside the city in case hotel rooms become scarce.

Eight churches in Rome's historic centre will remain open all night from April 30 to May 1 for a "white night" of prayer reminiscent of the all-night cultural events that Rome and many other cities organize, said Cardinal Agostino Vallini, the pope's vicar for the diocese of Rome which is organizing many of the events.

St. Peter's Basilica itself is expected to keep its doors open well into the night of May 1 to accommodate the faithful who want to pray before John Paul's tomb, which will be moved upstairs from the grottoes underneath the basilica for the occasion.

Shortly after John Paul died, Sister Simon-Pierre says she experienced an inexplicable cure of her Parkinson's disease. Benedict earlier this year confirmed that her healing was indeed miraculous, setting the stage for the beatification.

Beatification is the last major step before possible sainthood, and means John Paul can be publicly venerated. No feast day has yet been set, Lombardi said.
